1. Plan
Before you start any game, you need to have a plan with your team. A plan is a way to organize your actions and goals, and to coordinate with your teammates. A good plan can help you avoid confusion, chaos and mistakes. Think about what you want to achieve in each game zone, and how you can work together to make it happen.
2. Communicate
Communication is the key to teamwork. You need to talk to your teammates and share information, ideas and feedback. Communication can help you stay on track with your plan, adjust your strategy if needed, and support each other in difficult situations. Communication can also help you confuse and distract your enemies, especially when you use code words or signals.
3. Surprise
Surprise is a powerful weapon in paintball. Surprise can catch your enemies off guard, make them panic and lose their focus. There are many ways to surprise your enemies, such as hiding, sneaking, flanking, ambushing, or using decoys. Surprise can also be used to create opportunities for yourself and your team, such as breaking through their defenses, capturing their flag, or eliminating their leader.
4. Simplicity
Simplicity is the art of making things easy and clear. Simplicity can help you avoid unnecessary complications and problems in paintball. Don't try to be too fancy or show off your skills, because that can backfire and cost you the game. Instead, focus on what works best for you and your team, and stick to the basics. Know your strengths and weaknesses, and play accordingly.
5. Awareness
Awareness is the ability to pay attention to what is happening around you. Awareness can help you make better decisions and actions in paintball. You should always be aware of where you are, where your teammates are, where your enemies are, where they might go, what they might do, what you can do, and what you should do. Awareness can help you anticipate and react faster than your enemies, and gain an advantage over them.
6. Patience
Patience is the virtue of waiting for the right moment to act. Patience can help you avoid unnecessary risks and mistakes in paintball. Don't rush into action without thinking or planning first, because that can expose you to danger and failure. Instead, wait until you have a clear shot, a good position, or a favorable situation before you make your move. Patience can also help you conserve your ammo, energy and resources for when you really need them.
7. Vision
Vision is the skill of seeing beyond what is in front of you. Vision can help you avoid getting trapped or ambushed in paintball. Don't focus your attention on a single spot, even if you think an opponent may be hiding there - a different opponent may be flanking you, or you may locate an enemy you wouldn't otherwise have seen.
8. Movement
Movement is the action of changing your position or location. Movement can help you avoid getting noticed or surrounded in paintball. Standing still or staying in the same spot will make you an easy target for the enemy team. Don't be afraid of advancing to a point where you will be more useful to your team, staying far behind the front line will not help anyone and you probably won't be within range of the enemy.
9. Intelligence
Intelligence is the knowledge of facts and information that can help you in paintball. Intelligence can help you gain an edge over your enemies in paintball. Learn as much as you can about the game zones and study the mission brief before the game starts. If you can make a mental map of the game zone and identify key hiding spots and great places to use as cover, then you will begin the game with confidence and be more efficient as a team.
10. Stealth
Stealth is the art of being invisible or unnoticed by others. Stealth can help you surprise and defeat your enemies in paintball. An aggressive approach may work in certain situations, but discreet and planned movements will pay off in the long run. Although rushing the enemy team and using aggressive tactics may work well in some game zones, learning how to blend in with your surroundings, using diversionary tactics and creeping slowly can be the best angle of approach in other games. Take time when moving from cover to cover, tiptoe and keep your head down. Make sure that any attachments such as your marker's hopper or Go-Pro camera are not giving your location away to the enemy.
11. Positivity
Positivity is the attitude of being optimistic and hopeful. Positivity can help you enjoy and win in paintball. Maintain a positive outlook, even when under enemy fire and feeling the pressure. A positive mindset is important when you are playing paintball, even when the odds are against you, a positive mindset can boost the team morale. Don't forget to follow the golden paintball rules and have lots of fun!!
12. Pyrotechnics
Pyrotechnics are various paintball grenades such as flashbangs, thunderflashes, paint grenades and smoke grenades available at all Delta Force Paintball centres. Pyrotechnics can help you create effects and explosions that can enhance your paintball game. Flashbangs can keep the enemy's heads down long enough for you to execute a plan of attack, use the element of surprise against them with smoke grenades or flash bangs or take out multiple enemies with the use of paint grenade.
